[Resolved] unable to access .jar file

Hi everyone,
I've just install jdCaptcha on my Mac (OS 10.6.8), but any of the .bat files (testme, jdCaptcha) aren't working properly. In terminal the output is always this error "unable to access jarfile jdCaptcha.jar".
Any help would be appreciated smiling smiley

tnx

Hi,

Did you pick the package for Mac? It looks like you took the one for Windows (you should have a TestMe file and not a TestMe.bat file).

That's ok winking smiley

Check the permissions of JAR files, make sure the files are executable (chmod 755 *.jar) and try again.

Note: The jdCaptcha file can't be executed alone, only the TestMe can be.

Did you go through TestMe because with jDownloader it didn't work or did you start directly with TestMe?

If it's the last case, please try with jDownloader.

what do you mean with "through jdownloader"? I've tried TestMe because no signs of captcha show on my mobile device sad smiley

You can try to modify the jdCaptcha file and replace jdCaptcha.jar by the full path /full/path/to/jdCaptcha.jar.

Are you executing the script from the directory where it is (ie: execute ./TestMe and not ./jdCaptcha/TestMe)?

I'm executing it from the directory: /captcha/methods/jdCaptcha/TestMe

Is it on a mounted partition (through Samba or NFS) or is it your real hard drive? Is the jdCaptcha.conf file readable (chmod 644 jdCaptcha.conf)?

Ok, I need to build a new TestMe.jar to have more info on your issue. I'll try to do it tomorrow night, tonight is a little bit too late. I'll post it here or tell you here where you can download it and test it.

Hi,

Can you replace the TestMe.jar of the plugin by the one available here, execute it and post here what it says?

Thank you.

Execute the following and then post the content here if any:

cd /Users/makosh/Applications/jDownloader.app/Contents/Resources/Java/jd/captcha/methods/jdCaptcha/
./TestMe

Ok, I prefer that.

Now does it work with jDownloader?
If no, did you restart jDownloader after installing the plugin? From which host are you downloading?
