Vinces Codes operates the jdCaptcha application (called The Application). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of The Application.

The Application is an Android application written in Java which receives data through Google services, downloads data from the jdCaptcha website (called The Website) to allow the user to solve captchas transmitted by the jdCaptcha plugin (called The Plugin).

The Application also offers to the user the possibility to take control of jDownloader and/or pyLoad application(s) (called The Download Client) to start/pause/stop downloads on the user computer(s).

In order to provide these services The Application collects, manages and shares different types of data with Third Parties (third parties could be The Website, The Plugin, Google or any other external services). By using The Application, the user accepts that the following list of data is collected, managed and shared by The Application. All data are stored on the device (unless specified), data are stored unencrypted (unless specified) on a partition not readable by user (unless on rooted device).

  • Application Language: The Application sends the user language settings to The Website for statistics only.
  • Captcha Solution: After receiving a captcha on The Application, the user solves it and sends the solution to The Website.
  • Device IP Address: The Website collects the IP address for legal purpose only.
  • Download Controllers Settings: The download controllers settings represent the name, the host, the port, the login IDs and the refresh times. It does not include the list of files being downloaded. The Application offers the possibility to save these settings on The Website. This operation happens only on user request.
  • Google Services ID: In order to receive notification on the device, The Application uses the user Google Account. The Application collects a token and shares it with The Website. The Application does not read and does not collect user private data such as first name, name, e-mail address...
  • jdCaptcha Configuration: In order to operate The Application has some configuration parameters such as the notification configuration, the community settings. These settings are common with The Website, so The Application shares these parameters/settings with The Website at each changes.
  • jdCaptcha Unique ID: The Application generates a unique ID which is shared with The Website to identify one device. This unique ID does not contain any sensitive data.
  • Preferences and Scheduled Tasks: The Application offers the possibility to save the preferences and the scheduled tasks on The Website. This operation happens only on user request.
  • Timezone: In order to syncrhonize The Website and The Application, the device timezone is shared with The Website. This timezone is used to generate a consistent captcha expiration time.
  • Website username: The username is provided by the user or by The Website during the association step of the device, it is used to associate the device with an active account on The Website. The username is shared only with The Website.
  • Website password: The password is provided by the user during the association step of the device, it is used to associate the device with an active account on The Website. The password is shared encrypted with The Website and is not stored on the device after its usage.

The Plugin is a custom plugin installed on jDownloader or on pyLoad application (called The Client). The Plugin is executed by The Client when a captcha needs to be solved in order to start/continue the running downloads.

When executed The Plugin connects to The Website, uploads the captcha to be solved and waits for the solution from The Website.

In order to provide this functionality the plugin collects, manages and shares different types of data with Third Parties (third parties could be The Website, The Application, Google or any other external services). By using the jdCaptcha plugin, the user accepts that the following list of data is collected, managed and shared by the plugin.

  • Captcha: In order to solve the captcha, The Plugin sends it to The Website.
  • IP Address: The Website collects the IP address for legal purpose only.
  • Plugin Version: In order to operate The Plugin shares its version number with The Website.
  • Website username: The username is provided by the user, it is used to associate The Plugin with an active account on The Website. The username is shared only with The Website.
  • Website API password: The password is provided by the user, it is used to associate the device with an active account on The Website. The password is shared only with The Website.
