Control jDownloader and/or pyLoad with jdCaptcha

This tutorial explains how you can control jDownloader and/or pyLoad using the jdCaptcha application.

In order to control jDownloader or pyLoad, you need to create a download controller configuration, to proceed, follow these steps:
* Open the application.
* Go to the Downloader Controller tab.
* Click on the Add icon to create a new configuration.

A new window form opens, you should fill the fields. You can navigate through the form using the General, Parameters and Summary tabs (click on the tab title) or through the buttons (button's action changes according the tab selected).

In the General tab you must provide a name (which is relevant to you, it doesn't matter to the application) and select the type of the download controller to control. The name will be used in the different sections of the application, it will also be the name of the tab used to control the client.

In the Parameters tab you must provide the host address and the port.

For jDownloader, you can use:

The Remote plugin, in that case you just need to provide the host address and the port according to the jDownloader configuration (as shown below).

The Webinterface plugin (recommended), in that case you need to provide the host address, the port, the username, the password and the type of connection (HTTPS or HTTP) according to the jDownloader configuration (as shown below).

For pyLoad, you should provide the host address, the port, the username, the password and the type of connection (HTTPS or HTTP) according to pyLoad configuration (these parameters are the URL, including the type and the port, and the username used to access pyLoad webpage, for example: the snapshots below show the URL and the username used).

The Summary tab summarizes the configuration, you can validate it or update it if necessary.

After validating the form and after creating as many configuration as you want, you will obtain the list of your configurations in the Download Controller tab.

You will finally obtain as many tab as configurations you've defined. Each tab will represents the downloads running on the configured client. You can scroll horizontally the frame with the number of downloads and the speed to display the control buttons (such as Start, Pause, Stop, Options, Restart, Shutdown).

How to create jdCaptcha profiles with Llama?

This tutorial explains how you can create and apply custom configuration profiles of jdCaptcha using
Llama. The custom profiles will allow you to:
* Select one of the two ringtones configured.
* Enable/Disable vibrator on notifications.
* Enable/Disable ringtone on notifications.
* Enable/Disable light on notifications.
* Enable/Disable captcha notifications.
* Enable/Disable email notifications.
* Enable/Disable other notifications.
* Enable/Disable downloads (for jDownloader only).

To create your events you'll need one application (click on the QRcode to go to the Play Store):

Llama

This tutorial describes some steps to create events to enable captcha notifications at 07:00am (07:00) (just after turning off Airplane Mode) and disable captcha notifications at 10:55pm (22:55) (just before turning on Airplane Mode).

First create a new event by clicking on the + button:
* Provide a name to the new event (here 4 events have been created with the following names: Airplane Mode Off, Airplane Mode On, Turn Off Applications, Turn On Applications). The Turn Off/On Applications will be used to disable/enable captcha notifications and the Airplane Mode Off/On will be used to turn off/on the Airplane Mode.
* Click on Add Condition and select Time Between (you can also pick another item if you want).
* Fill the new form (if any).
* Click on Add Action to associate a new action to the event.

To select a jdCaptcha action, follow these steps:
* Click on the Run App Shortcut button.
* Select the jdCaptcha Shortcuts, select the jdCaptcha action to execute (here in this tutorial select the Captcha On or Captcha Off action).
* Validate the event by going back (using the back button).

You can create as many events as you want and as complex as you want. If you need more help on using Llama, please ask to the Llama's developer (you'll find all information you need to contact the developer on the Play Store page or on the developer's website).

How to create jdCaptcha profiles with Tasker?

This tutorial explains how you can create and apply custom configuration profiles of jdCaptcha using
Tasker. The custom profiles will allow you to:
* Select one of the two ringtones configured.
* Enable/Disable vibrator on notifications.
* Enable/Disable ringtone on notifications.
* Enable/Disable light on notifications.
* Enable/Disable captcha notifications.
* Enable/Disable email notifications.
* Enable/Disable other notifications.
* Enable/Disable downloads (for jDownloader only).

To create your profiles you'll need two applications (click on the QRcode to go to the Play Store):

Tasker
AutoShortcut

This tutorial describes some steps to create tasks to enable captcha notifications at 07:00am (07:00) (just after turning off Airplane Mode) and disable captcha notifications at 10:55pm (22:55) (just before turning on Airplane Mode).

First create a new profile by clicking on the + button:
* Provide a name to the new profile (here 4 profiles have been created with the following names: Airplane Mode Off, Airplane Mode On, Turn Off Applications, Turn On Applications). The Turn Off/On Applications will be used to disable/enable captcha notifications and the Airplane Mode Off/On will be used to turn off/on the Airplane Mode.
* Select Time for the first context (you can also pick another context if you want).
* Fill the new form (if any).
* Select the New Task to associate a new task to the profile (if you already have defined a task, you can select the task instead of creating a new one) and give it a name.

To create or edit a task, follow these steps:
* Click on the + button to add an action.
* Select Plugin to create an action on jdCaptcha or any other item to create other tasks (like controlling the Airplane Mode).
* Select AutoShortcut as plugin action as shown on the snapshot.
* Click on the Edit button and then select the jdCaptcha Shortcuts, select the jdCaptcha action to execute (here in this tutorial select the Captcha On or Captcha Off action).
* Do not check the If checkbox and validate the form.
* Validate the task edit form.

You can create as many tasks as you want and as complex as you want. If you need more help on using Tasker, please ask to the Tasker's developer (you'll find all information you need to contact the developer on the Play Store page or on the developer's website).

How to manage the captchas when not available

This tutorial explains how you can manage the captchas (and your downloads) when you are not available to solve the captchas. jdCaptcha provides two ways to manage the downloads:
* By using your community.
* By stopping the downloads.

By using your community:

You can create a community of users who will solve your captchas when you're not available. To create a community, go to your account page and invite your friends. You can also invite Anonymous as a user. Anonymous is a specific community of users similar to what captchatrader.com was providing (when you invite Anonymous, you'll be invited into Anonymous community so Anonymous will solve your captchas but you'll have to solve Anonymous captchas).

When you are busy, uncheck the Receive captcha notifications checkbox and the captchas will be sent to your community.

By stopping the downloads:

The jDownloader plugin is able to start and stop the downloads. To control the downloads, the plugin needs extra configuration steps:

* Edit the jdCaptcha.properties file or the config.inc.php file with your favorite editor.
* Update the remote and webinterface variables based on the following snapshots:

* Save the modified file.

Now you can control the downloads by using the Disable downloads checkbox (check the box where you are busy and uncheck it when you are available).

Control where the captcha are sent.

This tutorial explains how you can control jdCaptcha to send the captcha to solve.

jdCaptcha offers 3 possibilities to solve your captcha:
* On your device (phone or tablet).
* On a different computer (different from the computer where jDownloader is installed).
* On jDownloader.

To solve the captcha on your device:

To send the captchas on your device (phone or tablet), follow these steps:
* Open the jdCaptcha application on your device.
* Make sure the Receive captcha notifications checkbox is checked (as shown on the image).
* The state of the other checkboxes doesn't matter.

You also have access to the same checkboxes in the My Account page.

To solve the captcha on a different computer:

To send the captchas on a different computer through the email notifications, follow these steps:
* Open the jdCaptcha application on your device.
* Make sure the Receive captcha notifications checkbox is not checked (as shown on the image).
* Make sure the Receive captcha notifications through email checkbox is checked (as shown on the image).
* The state of the other checkboxes doesn't matter.

You also have access to the same checkboxes in the My Account page.

To solve the captcha using jDownloader:

To solve the captchas within jDownloader (original behavior), follow these steps:
* Open the jdCaptcha application on your device.
* Make sure the Receive captcha notifications checkbox is not checked (as shown on the image).
* Make sure the Receive captcha notifications through email checkbox is not checked (as shown on the image).
* The state of the other checkboxes doesn't matter.

You also have access to the same checkboxes in the My Account page.

NB: If you have created a community the captchas are sent first to someone in your community. If nobody is available in your community, the captchas are available on your computer.
Using jdCaptcha on more than one device

This tutorial explains how you should configure your devices and your plugin to send the unsolved captcha on your devices. This tutorial is based on an example with two devices, if you want to configure more than two devices, just reproduce the configurations steps for each extra device.

Device configuration:

For each device follow these steps:

* Create an account on the jdCaptcha website (remember to verify your email address). For the tutorial purpose, lets consider that we create two accounts named User1 and User2.
* Install the application on the device.
* Register your device to your account (first device registered with the account User1 and second device registered with the account User2).
* Configure jdCaptcha to receive the other notifications and go to your account page on the website to send a test message.

Plugin configuration:

Choose a main account, in this tutorial the User1 will be the main account. Follow these steps to install the plugin:

* Download the last release of the plugin.
* Install the plugin following the instructions, download the config.inc.php or jdCaptcha.properties file from the main account (make sure to be logged with the correct account). You don't need the configuration files of the other account (here User2).
* Execute the TestMe script to check that you correctly receive captcha on your main device (the one which is registered to your main account, here User1).

Linking your devices together:

To link your devices together you'll have to create a community:

* Log in with your main account (here User1 ).
* Go to the My Community page and invite your other account (so here invite User2) with a high priority. Make sure that the checkbox Do not receive community's invitation is unchecked for all your accounts (by default it is checked) before starting the invitation.
* Log in with your secondary account (here User2 ).
* Go to the My Community page and accept the invitation. Configure the limit to unlimited (otherwise when the limit will be reached you'll not receive the captcha).
* Go to the Summary page and make sure the checkbox Receive captcha notifications from communities is checked (it means that you accept to solve captcha from the communities but only the one you accepted the invitation).

Redirecting the captchas:

The configuration is done, now you can choose on which device you want to receive the captcha. Just check the Receive captcha notifications checkbox (in the application) in the device you want to receive the captcha. The captcha is sent to only one device, the order is first the main device (attached to the main account) and then the devices in your community.
