A new plugin/add-on for Google Chrome browser is now available, you can download it in the chrome web store. This add-on adds a jdCaptcha button on the toolbar to help you go to some jdCaptcha website pages shortly. This button also gives you the opportunity to send a selected text (a list of links) to one of your devices (first select text on the visited webpage, click on the jdCaptcha button in the toolbar and then click on the device).

The add-on also modifies HTML pages and more specifically the "<pre></pre>" areas to add button(s) on the top right corner of the area to send its content to your device.

Feel free to report bugs and request for new feature.

Control jDownloader and/or pyLoad with jdCaptcha

This tutorial explains how you can control jDownloader and/or pyLoad using the jdCaptcha application.

In order to control jDownloader or pyLoad, you need to create a download controller configuration, to proceed, follow these steps:
* Open the application.
* Go to the Downloader Controller tab.
* Click on the Add icon to create a new configuration.

A new window form opens, you should fill the fields. You can navigate through the form using the General, Parameters and Summary tabs (click on the tab title) or through the buttons (button's action changes according the tab selected).

In the General tab you must provide a name (which is relevant to you, it doesn't matter to the application) and select the type of the download controller to control. The name will be used in the different sections of the application, it will also be the name of the tab used to control the client.

In the Parameters tab you must provide the host address and the port.

For jDownloader, you can use:

The Remote plugin, in that case you just need to provide the host address and the port according to the jDownloader configuration (as shown below).

The Webinterface plugin (recommended), in that case you need to provide the host address, the port, the username, the password and the type of connection (HTTPS or HTTP) according to the jDownloader configuration (as shown below).

For pyLoad, you should provide the host address, the port, the username, the password and the type of connection (HTTPS or HTTP) according to pyLoad configuration (these parameters are the URL, including the type and the port, and the username used to access pyLoad webpage, for example: the snapshots below show the URL and the username used).

The Summary tab summarizes the configuration, you can validate it or update it if necessary.

After validating the form and after creating as many configuration as you want, you will obtain the list of your configurations in the Download Controller tab.

You will finally obtain as many tab as configurations you've defined. Each tab will represents the downloads running on the configured client. You can scroll horizontally the frame with the number of downloads and the speed to display the control buttons (such as Start, Pause, Stop, Options, Restart, Shutdown).

The new version of jdCaptcha application is finally released, it contains many new features:
* A new UI theme for both smartphones and tablets.
* A task scheduler to execute actions depending on device state.
* Possibility to control your downloads running on jDownloader and/or pyLoad.
* Possibility to add links to your downloads.
* Multi-device finally supported in the same account.
* Better configuration options on the Home tab.
* Better integration of Anonymous community to improve its visibility.
* Possibility to save the application configuration in the cloud.

Application translation

The release of the new version of jdCaptcha application is coming soon (probably by the end of the month).

In order to provide the application in different languages, it is possible again to translate the application in the Contribute page of the website (you may need to refresh the page to be able to translate). Of course if you decide to help translating the application, your account will be upgraded (see benefits section of the contribute page).

OpenSSL: Heartbleed bug

A vulnerability has been recently discovered in OpenSSL library used by webservers to support HTTPS protocol.

This vulnerability called Heartbleed has been published before the patch was released. Unfortunately the webmasters have not enough time to protect their website.

As you may have notice, jdCaptcha website is using HTTPS to protect the exchange of your password when you log in. The jdCaptcha website is not exposed and has never been exposed to this vulnerability, you don't need to change your password or anything. You can keep surfing safely on jdCaptcha website.

New website theme

The website has been refreshed, a new theme is now available. The new theme should provide a better browsing experience, especially on smartphones and tablets.

In order to improve page loading and keep your private life private, the social buttons (Google+, Twitter and Facebook share buttons; Google+ and Twitter follow buttons) and social video players (Youtube and Dailymotion) are hidden by default. Click on the Share or Follow button to enable the button.

The privacy policy page will be written soon, if you have any questions regarding the website or your private information, use the contact form.
The french translation of the website and the contribute page will be updated soon.

Website access issue

Plugin update

A new version of the Java plugin for jDownloader has been released. This new version improves the communication link between the plugin and the server to avoid having to solve the captcha on jDownloader and on the device.

It has been a long time without new news about jdCaptcha...

* A new page is available on the website. This page is dedicated to the Anonymous community, you'll find a detailed explanation of what it is and its stats (to know when it is best to connect to solve captcha).
* Due to jdCaptcha 7.0 development, it is no longer possible to translate the application. This possibility will be back before the release of the 7.0 version.
* You can follow the development of the 7.0 version on Google+.
